How can we help?

Ask a question, report a problem, or help us correct a passage. Your source and place in the app make a difference.

iPhone & iPad · Version 1.0

Isnad is a companion for the Qurʾān, the prayer and everyday practice — a Qurʾān reader with recitation, step-by-step guides to wudu and the prayer, prayer times and the qibla, duʿāʾ by occasion, and a hadith and sunnah library — built by one developer. There is no support desk and no ticket system; there is an email address that is read.

Email: jadbader7@gmail.com — please put "Isnad" in the subject line.

Useful things to include: your iOS version, your iPhone or iPad model, the corpus version (Settings → Sources & Methodology), and what you were looking at when it went wrong.

Report something the app got wrong

This is the most valuable message you can send, and it has its own path in the app rather than an email address.

On an āyah, on a hadith, and on the fabrication shelf, the actions sheet has Report an error. The app composes a report that already contains the passage, its locator and its source, so the correction can be checked against the same text you were reading. Then Copy the report or Send it somewhere — the app hands it to your own share sheet; it sends nothing by itself. Mail it to the address above.

For a sunnah entry or a duʿāʾ, which have no Report button yet, use Share and add what is wrong.

An optional email field is there only so you can be told what happened to the report. Leave it blank and the report contains no reply address. If you send it by email, your mail service includes the sender information it normally uses.

Corrections to the Arabic, to a locator, to an English explanation, or to a claim the app makes about a source are all in scope, and so is "this reads as though it is telling me a ruling". That last one is a defect in this app.

Things that are deliberate, not bugs

Some of the most common questions are about things the app is not doing on purpose. The short explanations below describe the choices behind the app:

About this resource

A research and personal-study resource. Not fiqh, not fatwa. A single report is not a ruling. For a ruling on your own situation, ask a qualified scholar.

Your reading data and location stay on your device. Isnad has no account, ads, analytics or tracking SDK. Recitation streams come from Islamic Network, which sees your IP address and the reciter and verse requested; streaming can be switched off. Optional source links open external websites.
